I was taking the bike out for a ride and when I went to start it gone of the SPEEDO or Tach lights came on. Everything else came on and the bike started fine. I turned it off and tried it again, and still no SPEEDO or Tach lights, but again the bike start and was running fine. So I took it out to see could I ride it. After above riding a mile or so everything just came on and worked for the rest of the day. What Gives???? This is the second time this happened. It seems like the bike need to warmup some before all the lights start working. Does this mean I to replace the EHC? I pulled the tank and checked all the wires connection and everything seemed fine.:bang:

Any ideas are welcome please.

Save your money on the Wire+.

There is a good chance that it's just your battery being in poor condition. If the speedo doesn't do a second needle reset after you start the engine then you need an EHC flash upgrade and not a new speedo.

You may need to clean and repack the two EHC connectors with fresh dielectric grease from the auto store.

Your battery must be at least 12.8 volts to provide a good start-up condition. The second EHC speedo reset was added to elliminate the start-up low voltage condition which caused irratic speed electronics operation.

I installed it, it just plugs in and clicks into the connect. This only happens the first I start the bike for the day. After that I doesn't happen anymore until it cools off.
This tells me that it's definately your battery because after you ride for awhile it gets charged up to a higher voltage 12.8 or higher and when then starting the voltage doesn't drop as low.

This is new battery and I checked the voltage with and without the tender on the battery, and checked the voltage running and giving some gas. I can crank the bike several times without it starting and the battery not go low. The other stuff with connections I haven't done at this time, but will try that.

It's fixed!!!! I sprayed it out with connect cleaner and let it sit for 24 hours to dry. Came home and put some new electic grease and tooked everything back up and everything lite up!!! I don't have to buy an EHC!!!!!! I didn't believe and turn off and on a few time and everything is working. Must had been a loose connection somewhere.
