Do not like the Spike!

Guys, Any Idea what I can replace the Spike with? I would like to just run an open element. I am not sure what will fit the bracket. I bought the bike with it and assume it is a D&M. There are some on eBay but unsure if they will fit the bracket. Ideas? Thanks, Kurt

When you get a different air cleaner you will need to get the matching backing plate. Here is a pic of the stock plate with the updated S&S breather bolt assembly.

I'd like to keep the base plate and just toss the spike and add an elbow and open element. I did pull the spike off today and found it is a D&M Spear. I did buy a stock cleaner assembly from a member, if I can't find an element to adapt, I will put the stocker on it.

You could just use the D&M elbow with an open element...

You could cut the end of the elbow and then install a K&N 6" open filter. Barhopper did it on his dog.

I have the DM powerflow on my Bull with no issues...flows more air but might not be avsilable anymore.

Wimmer make some cool stuff...I have a couple different setups for my k9 but may not work with yer bracket.

If It did, it wasn't very noticeable. I know I didn't loose any, and I didn't need to rejet the carb.
