DO ALL K9 COME SISSY BAR READY?

Hi,

Does any body know if all struts on a k9 come Sissy bar ready or they have to be purchased separately?

I can only speak for the 06 k9 which I own. The struts are not "sissy bar" ready. You end up buying a kit (dealer proprietary part) with the sissy bar which includes the new struts that have mounts for the sissy bar.

I am reasonably sure all subsequent models are the same.

on my 08 k9 they have the wholes in the strut they have a chrome blank in there to hide where the sissy bar goes into it.

I believe it's 07 and newer come with the holes for the sissy bars....:flag:

have an 08 k-9 n it alreadt was sissy bar ready. I thinkfrom 08 on they come sissy bar ready

From 07 to date the K-9 is sissy bar ready from the facrory. The 06 you buy the kit with the struts and sissybar. I had an 06 and now added a 07 k-9 to the pound this week

My 06, like all, didn't have the holes. I had to buy the kit, which was struts, hardware, sissy bar.

BTW, those plugs kinda suck. It's hard to get the bolt out of them. Next time I put mine in, I'm going to try double sided tape, lol. Should be able to push them back up with an ink pen or something from the bottom.

have '07 K9 # 131 and it was NOT sissy bar ready. shane's, i believe, is #119 and it was NOT either so the early '07's did not have them. he bought the kit but i haven't as yet.
