Did not fix the problem

So after finding a crack in my neg battery post I thought I fixed my EHC problem
But all the lights come on when I turn the key on or start it. After thinking about it the only time it does this is when I first ride after the bike has not been running for 3 or 4 hrs.So today I go in the garage after putting a new battery in last night. I turn the key on, and all the EHC lights are on. So I went and got a hair dryer and warmed the EHC up after 30 seconds or so all lights went out but the power, and controller. Waited about 4hrs all EHC lights on again. I did the same thing with the hair dryer and rode for about an hour with no problems . Is it time to wire plus this thing.

Have you pulled your ehc connectors, cleaned them thoroughly and put di electric grease on them?

The Negative terminal is cracked in half? I would stick a new Braille in it,and clean and lube EHC connector with Di-electric grease like Curtis mentioned........And then go over and clean and check all the grounds as well......:2thumbs: Just my thoughts........

Thanks. Yeah I pulled tank and checked wires and greased them. Took EHC out and cleaned and greased. The crack was on the neg post of battery. I did replace the battery. If I take off with the EHC lights it shuts down and the horn goes off

Mine was doing the same thing with all the lights on. Sometimes would run for 10 minutes and then horn would honk and lights flashing. Did everything from new battery to dilectric grease in connections. Got fed up and installed PDM unit this spring. Still too cold here to ride to try new system out. Snowed last week.

Stop heating the Ehc and replace it. Get the new PDM. Its a fairly easy install. I did it a month ago. Couldnt be happier

After doing all the stuff mentioned if It gave me even the slightest hint of acting up I would change it out. You will sleep better knowing it is not going to leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere when it peters out the next time. I happened to be about 60 miles from home on a 100 degree day. I think I still need to be seeing the shrink. I was goin to push it to the next exit on the interstate with my daughter riding it.:bang: Help arrived or I would have too.
