Dent in two-piece tank - design flaw

I have a dent in the plastic center section of the two piece tank that I understand is a design flaw caused by a bolt under the same section. Anyone experience this and/or have any solutions to fix this. If it can't be corrected anyone know of any good appliques/stickers/emblems to cover it?

I have a 2 piece tank and don't have a problem. Try not to tighten the center section down so much. It's held i only by the allen bolt near the indicator and the nut and bolt on the bottom. The nut is a nylon locking nut, so it won't get loose.

two of my buddies have the same problem with the dents. same cause, over tighting.
