Daytech frames

I'm trying to build one more bike while I still can and picked up a Daytech frame and haven't worked on them before. I have a softail frame with a 10" axle on the swingarm. I thought this might be a good place to try and find the parts I might need for this project and possibly some expertise on how to get it finished. I'm hoping I can get by with a 18"x8" rear rim from a V-rod, Breakout or Rocker. So far I've picked up a 93' Heritage Softail to use on the project and the frame looks like it'll take any Evolution engine and tranny from 84'-99'.

Kinda odd cause it looks like a Rolling Thunder frame by the front motor mount and the voltage regulator placement...but with that said the neck does look like a Daytec...

I'm old and don't recall Daytech making softail frames. I can only remember the hardtail frames from back in the day and heard they had gone out of business making motorcycle frames. The frame has a 3/4" axle and if I'm not mistaken, the 18"x8" rims on the V-Rods, Breaker and Rocker have bearing that take a 1" axle, but I should be able to switch out the 1" bearing for 3/4'? I've got 10" clearance between the swingarm. I guess this old dog has to learn some new tricks, because I'm use to working on shovelhead models.

Daytech and Atlas, both made, and sold Softail style frames. Very nice craftsmanship. I built a number of bikes using both of their frames back in the EVO days.:old2:

Is there any difference between the 05' Atlas softail frame and the 05' Mastiff frame?
