I wanted to give a public THANK YOU to Sterling for working with me to get a seat that would give me "All Day" riding comfort. The first seat that he sent me looked great and was fine for my daily commute to work and back. But to be honest, it still required me to stop for a BUTT BREAK before I had to stop for fuel.
Here is the first seat he sent me.

Sterling told me to send it back and he would do everything he could to make it what I hoped for. He then added the AirHawk bladder to the seat, recovered it and returned it to me to try. Again, I still had to stop before I needed fuel. Here is a pic of seat #2.

Sterling again asked me to return the seat and the result is seat #3. I still have not given this seat a all-day ride, but for the daily commute to work, I can say that it is the most comfortable seat yet. I have come to realize that I just have a hard ass and all-day riding comfort on a K9 may not be possible for me, but I am very pleased with the effort that Sterling put into making me comfortable.

And here is a pic of the seat on the bike from a distance, notice the great backrest for my lower back and the wider seating area for both me and my wife for better distribution of weight on our butts.

Dude that is fucking awesome! Really great that he worked with you like that

What ended up being in the seat? Gel? What did you not like about the AirHawk?

I wish you had posted this literally a week ago. My seat is off to seatmaker for a similiar modification going for comfort. I am having the back built up as well! I'll post pics of my as soon as it returns. I didnt even consider making it wider :bang:

Got to hand it to them. That's a hell of alot of sacrifice there to make you happy. Don't worry Infamous, we can capture any change you want at this point. Also curious on what the final construction ended up being.

Good looking seat Bowhunter. This is why I ride the streetglide on the longer trips."comfort" The wife and I came down 25E tuesday enroute to Wytheville, Va. Great riding country out your way.

And I thought I was the only one to get a sore ASS. I ordered a Mustang wide solo seat, pre"89" and altered it to fit my Bulldog. Best investment I ever made. Could'nt go 30 miles without a sore ass, rode over 250 miles this weekend and felt great.

In answer to the questions, the passenger seat has "Wondergel" in it and is much wider. The rider portion is foam only with a much wider seat, and the back support is great with the wider bucket it helps to lessen pressure points. The cover is not real alligator, but it looks nice. I still have not given it a long ride test yet to see how it treats me on the long haul.
The problem with the airhawk was that it made me feel like I was sliding into the gas tank the whole time I was riding.
