Crate Bike storage

Hi,
I need to ask for your opinions on soting my Mastiff for approx 1 year
in a wooden crate. Do not ask why, as silly as it might sound, but I have
to. Are there any things I have to do to the bike besides taking the fuel out?
Also will there be any moisture damage in whatever is trapped inside with the bike? Any info would sure be helpful Thanks!

I'd add some fuel stabilizer and fill it all the way up, run it through the carb and shut off fuel to run carb dry, pull splug and spray a lube in the cylinders and spin it over, reinstall plugs and pull battery. May want to clean it all up and spray it down with some type of light oil to keep shit from rustin if it's going to be where the humidity can get to it.

what I did last winter was use SeaFoam instead of Stabil in my gas tank....SeaFoam keeps the gas good for 2 years and when you pull your shit out of staorage....the SeaFoam also cleans the carb and everything:2thumbs:
they say 1 oz. of Seafoam per gallon...I put 5 oz. in my gas tank....topped it off with premium...and then rode it for about 6-8 miles to get it through everything.......then shut off the petcock....but I never run the carb dry....haven't had any problems the 2 winters I stored my bike..and of course...plug the battery tender to the battery:up:

ok i wont ask why, i'll guess, one of two reason did a drive by or gettn a divorce and hiding it from the lady talons:roll: :roll: I could always dog sit for ya:cheers:
