Crankcase plug removed by accident

Hello
Yesterday I was performing an oil change on my 2007 mastiff, but ( accidentally) removed the crankcase plug and it drained like 1 quarter of oil aproxx. I know I'm not supposed to remove that plug to do the oil change but I did.
Could anybody please tell me what to do to avoid any damage besides filling the oil tank and oil filter and put the plug back?
Any Imput will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Franco, Thanks for your reply!!
You are welcome.

Did you check if it has a magnet, and if so... was it very dirty?

I am actually going to take it off in my next oil change to clean it up. It should be done every 4-5 oil changes so to keep everything squeaky clean.

I think you drained your sump? If so, would have also drained your oil tank. You need to add 3 quarts of oil, then run the bike for a while, check the oil again and top it off. It will probably want a couple of additional ounces to measure 'full'.
And pay attention to Franco's instructions to NOT over tighten the plug. It is going into the aluminum case and if you strip it out, you have a serious problem.
