Now that BDM has shut down, what is the alternative to get cracked side covers fixed? Should I take it to a local body shop or should I send it out elsewhere for repairs? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My neighbour is a bodyman. He took a heater box from a Honda car and cut out a piece of the plastic. Same thickness. Plastic welded it in and then shaped it and drilled out the hole. Didn't have to paint because it is hidden. You can also find new covers for sale on "shovelheadkicker" or "bigdogpartskingpin" ebay.
