I was washing the bike this morning an noticed a small hairline crack on the lower right side of the frame. Has anyone experienced this before? I have an 05 Ridgeback.
eeehhhhh, not "many" but there have been a few (believe under 10). at least that have been reported here. could always be more not reported.Yes, many.
Do the “search” on subject.
yes, there was a recall, definitely. was not down-playing the severity of the problem. in all instances, it could be life ending. these bikes, unfortunately, are not built as strongly as cars and, therefore, should be inspected by the rider as frequently as possible. i, for one, fall very short on my responsibilities as an owner when it comes to safety. when i want to ride, i want to ride. There was BD recall on frames, anyway with many I ment it's not unheard, or even that rare.

:roll: You sure we can’t turn it into one?Man am I glad it is not an electrical problem!
I may be wrong but the recall you are talking about was for the backbone. Bdm was defunct when these fractures like you have started showing up. Some have welded, repainted and good as new, probably. There was BD recall on frames, anyway with many I ment it's not unheard, or even that rare.
