coyote-mastiff?s

I am currently putting together my funds for my dig dog purchase. I think i am sold an a 2009 coyote. I think I prefer the 250 rear tire over the mastiff 300.
I am obviously on a budget or I would already own one.
I see the used prices are favorable and swaying me to look in that direction. The mastiff specifications seem to be different for other years.
I am open to opinions.
Advantage to buying new other than warranty? Is the cost savings worth it? What year Mastiff Is good? Any to stay away from?
Sorry for so many questions I am just excited!
Thanks for any comments, fire away:2thumbs:

I bought an 07 Mastiff with only 400 miles and still under warranty, the bike came with VH big radius pipes, D&M spike and beautiful paint. I am very happy with the bike and i think i saved around $10,000.

I have been poking around.
Is there a list on the differences on the mastiff from different years?
Thanks

A little Mastiff history. I've owned an 05 and currently 06.

05 was the first year for right side drive to balance the bike.
It was also the first and only year they put super e carbs and intake restrictors. They also used TP rocker boxes that had some issues.

06 was the only year you could get the new stretch frame and a 250 tire. Mid year they changed to S&S rocker boxes. That is preferable.

07 they went to a 300 tire.

08 is when they started offering fuel injection I believe.

Anyone here want to chime in on ride characteristics between the 250 and 300 rear tire?
I am trying to decide between an {06 mastiff -09 coyote with 250 rear tire}, or a {07-09 mastiff with 300 rear tire.}
I know the best way to know is to ride them both but I'm having trouble finding some to test ride.

Once you ride any of these bikes for more than a few minutes, you will not notice the size diff.
