COOLERS

with cooler or coolers, found in stop & go riding , engine will cool down qwicker between stops with coolers ,the oil pressure stays higher at stops when your idling!
and then its at 5 to 3 psi. at idle on hot day in traffic, "ill take the coolers
please"!

I have run only one BDM, have a new one in the box for my 08. If you don't have a thermostat its good to cover it in the colder months for quicker engine warm up. I do need to get a cover for the new one.:D

just a little report on the coolers. With temps around 110 here in AZ I have yet to see my oil pressure go below 18psi. I saw 10 psi many times without the coolers and the Amsoil.
I know people seem to think these don't work but they are working for me
and it's hotter than hell here:)

Interesting discussion. I don't live/play where the temperature is consistantly 100+. Further, if they were a must have I believe BD/S&S would include them. But then like they say, opinions are like assholes - everyones got one.
I'm with you. They would put them on. I have heard that even if oil pressure drops to "nothing" (as in stopped traffic with no air flow at high temp) and you have good oil (ie mobil 1) and your pump is working, then engine gets adequate lubrication.

My 2 cents

I would pass on the cooler unless I noticed ill effects from not having one. Like has been said before they would have included one should you truly need it.
