Anyone know what the max amps for the compression release valves are. I'm rewiring an 05 chopper with an m-unit and I'm connecting them to the starter solenoid. Thanks!

07 K9 117 manual explains the power distribution on page 8-2. Two buses both protected by internal fuses of 20 amps. My guess is the 05 is the same.

Remember it won't start until u leave off the starter.

Good point Rottweiler, If he has the starter solenoid and the compression releases on the same circuit he won't have proper compression to start the engine. Deltasierra, the stock EHC only provides power to the compression releases for 1 second when the start button is selected but will provide power to the starter solenoid until you let off the start button. You may want to install a separate compression release button so you have control.
