ridgeback,,,here is a pix of my oval coil mount...Wish you could come with something (spike or flat) to cover the bolt!!! Already had a couple of people say BD kinda dropped the ball on this one!

wow...that is different.....on my 06 K-9.....that spot is flat.....like on Jake's scoot.....I ordered his magnetic spike coil cover....didn't know for 07 that they changed to the open hole with bolt style...

You are missing something. There is a painted cover that should be there. Call nelson see if he can get you a part number

No reference to a cover on that in my docs. I'll have to check with BDM tomorrow morning to see if they have a part number on that. Info I have shows it's open.

The reason I said that is my daytec frame is similar, and you can see where the powder coat didn't completely cover it inside. I know this is a bad pic but I got it off daytecs site this is my frame.

Thats really weird because my dad's and mine are both completely welded up. No cover here at all. Both bikes are 07 K9's. Must say, I really like it the way it is. Maybe Daytec changed the frame. Does BDM build their frames now or still farm them out.

I would say to use a soiked motor mount bolt like the one I got but we already know that wouldn't work well with the bdm motor mount on the other side...

My buddy's 06 is like that and some of the first 07's were the same way, then I think they changed them.

Interesting - I think both frames were used in early 06, then all BDM frames.
My 06 K9 has the hole welded, similar to the Daytech pix above, but I'm a BDM frame and manuf date is May 06.
