Coating Stainless creation pipes

OK I have a question that some of you might be able to answer for me. I have a set of the Stainless creation disorder pipes (not coated on the inside). While I dont mind the gold to yellow color they turn (is easily polished out but within more than a 30 min ride they are right back to the same color) I was wondering if any of you knew what might be the best for painting them a black color? Actually painting from the flanges to the center of the X black and leaving the bottom the polished look.

I hear some of you guys talk about high temp paints but what is a better one to use (price is irrelevant)?

Here are the pipes

Looking for a look kinda like my miami ultras

And yes I am asking your opinion so if you think it will look like shit, great idea or hell its your bike do what you want, fell free to say so. Want to know what you guys think and what would be the best to use.

I myself like the change in color...and like you said...polishes right back to the shine with Blue-Job from Mad Dog:cheers:
maybe give Clint at Stainless a call and see what he would recommend or maybe look into the jet hot like tommyboy said...

Try a ceamic coating system.
This is up there in price but the results is the best.
Your pipes will have that "NEW" look for years.
These systems come in high gloss to a satin finish with
a wide range in colors.

Thanks everybody, anyone know if you can do this yourself? Or a kit ? I have done the internet search just wondering if anyone has actually done something other than just the high temp spray paint.

I will call Clint tomorrow and see what he recommends also.

There is a hot jet dealer in Baton Rouge about 20 min. from my office so I will give them a call also.

I have a feeling you will find out that any do it youself coatings that are made for "Steel" exhaust, will not stick to the stainless. Stainless is hard to paint and keep it on.

I would call Clint and ask him, but I am sure he will recommend getting them ceramic coated black.

Thanks everybody, I talked to Clint at SC and I am going to wait till the winter to send them back to him and have them coated. He told me about other products that had work for a short period but that you would have to touch up quite often (spray paint, hot dip etc)

Plus he said if I ship them back to him, he will polish them up for me again on the bottom since I want to do a half and half:2thumbs:
