Clutch still "slipping" UGH!!

OK I take pride in being able to work on my stuff whether it be the Dog or my Car or any thing around the house. The Dog was running great right before the clutch cable broke. OK no big deal order another one put it in no big deal shit happens.....................WRONG!!

I have now tore this damn thing apart 5 times and re did the ball and ramp assembly, checked the shaft clearance, greased the crap out of it, shaft engaging correctly, handle feels good, clutch letting go about half way out thinking alright all is adjusted correctly good to go!

Freakin thing is now slipping on hard excellaration!! It never did that before the cable broke. I have tried and tried to get it adjusted right, even road around with an allen wrench and a 11/16 wrench to try and get it just right but no matter what I try it still slips. I have 7,500 miles on her and I could understand if maybe a clutch was in the cards but for it to just go from one thing to complete opposite has got me frustrated. I LOVE working on my Dog, cranking the tunes just chillin in the garage but I HATE not being able to figure something out.

Bobby from Charlotte has been trying to help me out thanks to him but all that he has told me I have done and knew to do so at least I know I am on the right track. Just at wits end on why I can't get it adjusted right...........

Did you check dome height on clutch spring like I had asked in your other post? Needs to be at least .050"
Don't adjust it like manual tells you to....adjust it this way and if it still slips, then pack is worn out of spec.
Do in this order...

>Loosen clutch pushrod jam nut.
>Loosen clutch cable adjustment.
>Turn clutch pushrod in till bottoms out (slight drag) and leave there, do not back out 1/4 turn yet.
>Adjust clutch cable till you have Zero play at clutch lever while holding back on cable.
>Now turn pushrod out (counterclockwise) 1/4 turn, lock jam nut.
>Check to make sure you have no less than 1/16" and no more than 1/8" of play at lever. If you do, adjust cable, lock down jam nut and go for a ride.

If I had to guess, I would say you clutch pack is most likely out of spec along with the pressure plate....pack and pressure plate will run you around $250. While your in there you can check for any play in transmission bearings. With over 7500 miles it's not unheard of for any or all to be worn.

Thanks Andrew that is exactly to a tee what I have done! I even opened up ramp assembly and made sure I had proper play in cable. Then did exactly as you said. Only thing I havent done yet is take off primary cover and check out what you stated that is my next step! Went and got some primary oil later today just for that.

UGH just don't have the cash to spend on a clutch right now. Would it be best to buy another pack and pressure plate or should I just buy the Bandit set up? Which do you recommend?

I always adjusted mine by the repair manual like u and Andrew mentioned below. I would also adjust the the hand lever for almost no play at all. If that does not work try switching to B&M Trick Shift in the Primary. The fluid makes a difference mine never slipped again and had 20k on it.
