With most if not all newer Big Dogs, RH drive is ‘regular’. If you call Bandit, they’ll get you fixed up. Nothing about the stock BD clutch and Bandit are the same.
IMHO—and Mr. Wright has also addressed this—when you have clutch slippage after the plates have been replaced, it’s usually wear on the OEM aluminum pressure plate. That was my problem for sure.
HDM sells an improved hardened one that solves it. I’d suggest you install one of those and if it still slips, buy a Bandit and sell the hardened one on the Forum—lots of guys would snap it up and you recover some $$.
Bandit is great for ‘built’ engines that can overpower a stock clutch. If you’re running 11:1 compression with a 640 cam, timimg, and big valve springs or you’re one of the ‘full throttle every gear’ type riders, the Bandit is made just for you.
