Clutch Assist from Big Dog

My wife has a V-Rod and wants to move up to a BD. The main issue i have with the decision is the V-Rod has a hydraulic clutch that pulls really easy. My K9 pulls harder than hell partly due to the Bandit clutch setup. But even the stock ones pull hard. i know all the new BD's have the assist package on them but never tested it. Has anyone installed one of these assist units and do they really help that much?

My 2005 Ridge has the Bandit in it with one spacer and mine pulls not much harder than my wifes Honda!!! I can pull it in with 2 fingers pretty easy!

I got two spacers in my Bandit clutch and the clutch pull is pretty hard. Can get prettu tiresome pretty quick, especially when in traffic. I got the BDM easy pull clutch actuator on the way so I'll let you know.

Muller Power Clutch worth it's weight in gold......Install on my 03 was easy.....bought from J&P Cycle.

I bought the Muller but it wouldn't fit on my 05. I lost the packaging for it to be sure exactly what it was but it seemed like they either sent for a LSD or the BDM uses a LSD style ball & ramp. I put one on Lisa's Heritage and it does work real good

in 08 bdm went with an easy pull clutch. just had one put in gretchens 07 bulldog.

If you want to spend a little money $800 Grandure Cycle has a cool clutch set up.You can pull up to a stop and not pull in the clutch just gas and go..Down shift and up shift u can pull with one finger.The owner is named Mike Phillips I got my pipe from him and he is real nice and knows his shit.

I put the Big Dog Easy Pull clutch in my 2006 Mastiff. Night and day difference in effort required. Also made it much easier to shift into neutral.

installed mine last night and rode it today. It does make a pretty big difference actually although I also put a new, well lubed cable on as well and the old ball & ramp had hardly any grease in it. I was a little sceptical, especially when the thing arrived with a new clutch pack (not expecting that) that I won't be using. I do think you should be able to buy just the ball & ramp though, without the clutch pack. If I want a new clutch pack I'll ask for one.
