Jimi, clutch cable adj comes from the cable adj on the down tube.
Good to check the clutch rod anyway and as Dogvet says lube it with anti-seize.
Release the tension on the cable adjuster first and while your at it lube your cable.
Spin that scalloped cap off (you can tap it with a rubber mallet to help) and when you put it back on use some more anti-seize on it.
Unscrew the clutch rod till you can pull it out. When you replace it play with how far you screw it in after touching the plate. You will know what I mean when you do it as you can screw it in till it touches or get pressure, a small difference in how far you screw it in. Screw it in till you hit the pressure plate then back it out 1/4 turn and lock it down.
This is something that if off by a fraction can make all the difference in your clutch feel so play with it and adjust till you get the feel you want.
Adjust cable to 1/8th in. at the clutch handle and your done.
Easy to do!!!
Have fun,
Ray
