It's a crap shoot, if you have a spare it would be a good idea to carry it with you. You never know when it's going to let go on you. I have an 08 Mastiff and I've been luck so far, but I have two spares and I'm ready for that day...:D

In a pinch yopu can find a HD to fit. I found a 02 & up Wide Glide fit mine, it's my spare now....

Well let me put it to ya this way from experience if it does break you dead in the water, the one thing you have going for you is that you cable is shorter than my K-9's is so you might get lucky at a H-D shop and get one that fits

12,000 miles and I am already on my 3rd cable so I always carry a spare whenever on a road trip (along with the necessary tools).......It's peace of mind and a simple change out, if needed.

Hey buddy, now is the time to take advantage of the Group Buy on the cable if you want to get a spare. Cycle City is hosting the group buy for the forum members. Check
out the details in the Group Buy forum if you are interested. Give Joe a call.
