BWG56 is that a 14" or 16" ? Does it give you pretty good protection? Is it from Big Dog or Windvest and if from Big Dog was it a pain in the ass to put on? Thnks!

Its from BD and I had the dealer install at the 500 mile check up. The dealer installed all accessory's for free at that time. Its 14" and functional.

Does anyone have a shield from the BDM Accessory Catalog on their bike? If so, how about a review?

Does Windvest make these shields for BDM? They sure look similar.

I wouldn't want one on all the time, but IF it's easy to put on/take off and works, it might be nice to have for longer trips on the Dog.

Yes, Windvest makes the shields. If you get BD they say Big Dog, if you get Windvest it says Windvest.

How tough is it to "put 'em on/take 'em off"? What do brackets look like that stay on handelbars when shield is off? Are they chrome to match the bar? Just curious..I don't want some 'gaudy' brackets on there, but if they look okay and blend in...well, maybe. Thanks!

Anyone??..anyone?..Surely someone out there has the BDM windshield on their bike and could give me some info on their brackets. Are they chrome? How do they look on the bars when the windshield is off? How easy to take the shield on and off? Thanks guys!

I have a BDM 10,5 " windshield - very easy to take off and on. Just four screws and done in a minute. Brackets are polished Aluminum and when its off you can barely see the bracket on the top tree.
I take mine off for riding around in the neighborhood and put it back on for long distance. Very easy. Look at my picture in this thread.:flag:

Thanks PSI! I tried to look at your bike photos, but got a little distracted by the shot of the beauty in the bikini.. :lol: Seriously, I can't even see your windshield brackets in these pictures. I like what you said though, and will probably do the same thing with my new K9 next month after I get it.
