It is cool in a very Novel way, but the dual runner is just as cool and it has the proven reliability. I would just stick with the dual runner.

It would be about $900.00 cheaper.
 And it looks like it should.....YUUUUCK, just my opinion but that is horrible, plexiglass on a BigDog????? Please get the dual runner, don't do that to your beautiful bike.

Wouldn't the spikes impede on the dual runner performance? That's the reason I'm getting ride of my spike filter....which I love the look of. The dual runner with spikes is sick, but for like $1,500 it ain't that serious.

Yea, I would expect the spikes would impede on the performance although 2 spikes must perform better than 1! Still not as good as a the regular dual runner setup. But cool doesn't always mean performance

I agree though I can't cough up the cash for the dual spikes...just way to much $$$$ Theres a lot of other shit I can buy that will make the bike run better for $1500.

I saw this air cleaner along with the matching inspection and derby cover in Daytona at the performance machine trailer. . Looked cool - For a little while. Went back to see it again and the sun and heat caused it to condensate and fog up. i would never get it. i have the pm super gas - look on my garage. alternative if you don't like the spike

Ringo everyone has their own preference. I think alot of things look cool. That kinda reminds me of those see through watches where u can see all the mechanisms, plus air flow is probably better than my spike. Wimmer has filters that fit the dual runner s&s I believe and they make it look cleaner.

I heard the inside of the plexiglass quickly accumulates an oil/dirt film, which pretty much obscures the view; kinda makes the whole idea pointless, eh?

Well if it easily distorts like that It's probably a good idea to pass up. Looks cool though, but probably just for show bikes...which mine won't be. Too bad d&m boss is the cost of cam, roller rockers, s&s dual runner etc. So I guess it's the wimmer filter and chrome trim with s&s dual runner for me.
