I was at a show the other day, and although My polished wheels look pretty good, the Chopper next to mine had all chrome. The chrome side by side my bike was sooooo much better looking!

Has anyone had thier wheels and other polished parts chromed? If so I need a source and a price list would be nice. Also what precautions are needed (can chrome be masked off so as not to biuld up hub and bearing areas etc)???

You might want to call them and explain what parts you want done, give them rim size ect... I think that'll be your best bet, I'm sure they'll quote a price to you. I've heard they have decent pricing...:2thumbs:

Yeah... need to call them... My guess, is wheels very in size shape and condition (pitting etc), so they simply don't include them on thier price list.

One thing to consider with chrome wheels is rocks. One little rock on the freeway can take a pretty good chip out of that chrome unlike polished.

Had all my polished pieces chromed. Hand controls, foot controls, headlight, speedo, license plate bracket, wheels, ect...Love it. But always worried about that little rock thats going to chip it up. Meclec did a great job, but it wasn't cheap...

A friend of mine chromed everything on his bulldog and he said it was somewhere around $3,000.00 to do it, and that was the shop tearing the bike down and putting back together for him.

Chrome is the way to go . i've had plenty of chrome wheels on bikes and car's no issue at all . You just need to go to a quality shop for your chrome.

FYI, my polished wheels look like Chrome when cleaned every 6 months or so. I also witnessed polished wheels at a recent Baton Rouge Red Stick Rally that I thought were chromed until told otherwise. So, I am sticking with polished Aluminum especially since Brown's doesn't chrome wheels!

I don't think Browns ever did wheels. I had Browns do stuff for me since the early 80's and they do a great job. Paul's has been doing wheels for a long time !! They look great !! Plus you don't have to polish at all ... no need to when chromed !! No water spots from getting caught in the rain !! IMO I like the chrome better just for being maintenance free !!
