Chrome belt cover

The chrome belt cover on my ridgeback keeps backing out of it's slot and contacting the rear fender. I can pop it in easy, but if I go for a ride it'll slide back out.

How the hell do I get it to stay?

Here's a pic, hope it helps-

Put the screw back in it that is missing! That might help :D

There is a small pan head 1/4" (?) screw that threads into the gaurd through the rubber grommet that you are missing.

Thanks bdmridgeback! I do have the screw, but it comes in from the other side on my bike :skep: Sorry my last shot sucked. Could you take another shot of that area but from the top down?

If it was installed backwards then it should be an easy fix

I looked in the hole and saw that only the one side was threaded. That's why I was so confused.

Here's a more clear shot for those that were confused

Cesar, if your bike is still under warranty I would take it to the dealer and show them that it was installed incorrectly if that is the case and then you have a case for getting your fender repaired.

Just a thought,

The screw and washer were just on the wrong side. Had a hell of a time getting it unscrewed from that angle. The chrome cover is now in place and won't be sliding around anymore

Unfortunately the bike isn't under warrantee. :bang: Plus I didn't buy from a dealer. However, the damage is minor and in an inconspicuous area, so I'm not too worried.
