Can anyone tell me if a set of 2005 chopper fork sliders will for sure fit on 2003 fork tubes? They look 99% identical except for the upper part that the tubes slide in is concaved and my 03 ones are tapered. Any other differences maybe? Any help would be much appreciated and may get me back on the road sooner!

What about the brace that goes across just above the fender? My 03 looks like that just clamps around the slider,

The ones im looking at look like theres a mounting bracket there?

The new ones are supposed to fit 05 or later and are made by perse performance, sent to big dog as samples to upgrade from the Korean made ones but big dog decided not to use them is the story. I had a recent snafu where i broke off a bolt flush behind the caliper bracket and tried to drill it out and messed it up. Can get these both for a good price and they look a little cooler also..just wanna make sure they will work

And now that i look closer it seems the fender brackets may be different also...lol this may turn into an 05 upgrade of more than just the sliders lol!

I wish I had more money.
It's alright if they are different. Will they work is the question.

No repky from bigdogpartsking yet. He has the slider set. Just on a serious budget so i had to make an offer for a little less. Idk if he will negotiate much or not. Fingers crossed :/

I'm interested in your polished fork sliders If you get rid if them.

what's wrong with it?
on the left slider, (with the caliper mount) one of the screws that hold the mount broke off, I tried to drill it out and couldnt. Im sure a good man with a drill press or machine shop could drill it out and re tap it. Just though it would be easier to change sliders and would be a nice upgrade. No luck on picking up the new sliders yet.

The same damn thing happened to mine. I noticed that my caliper bracket was moving and making a clunking sound. tried to tighten the screw but it spun freely. Decided to change my fork seals while I drilled and remove the screw turns out, both were sheared off and only the head of 1 screw was holding the caliper bracket to the fork. I could not remove the sheared screws. I'm thinking the red loctite is keeping them stuck. So I need to find a good welder or a new left bottom fork leg. Any Idea as to who made them for the 2003 chopper
