Chirpping/squeaking noise

Well thanks again to the peeps on this site. I went and got some belt dressing and lubed up the drive belt. That got rid of the friggin chirping. I did notice though that the belt is riding on the inside of the pulley and sometimes in the middle. I imagine that the swingarm or pulley is bent. Either way that fucking noise is gone. Thanks again bros

Your welcome but remember the dressing only last awhile.my belt rides on the outer which I been told by every builder I talked to its normal on the outside,when I back up in travels inside,again normal.If you have a Lowes store in your area you can get some spray made from Dupont.Someone here reccomened it and last the longest.It' called teflon dry wax spray or something like that.I can look on the can if you want the exact name.I spray it on every week if its chirpping or not.Been living with this since bike was a year old.Just cause your belt chirps dosent mean your swing arm is bent.could be alignment issues.good luck

I had the same chirping on roll off, kept looking on right side. It was the top motor mount left side I used teflon paste no more problems, takes out a lot of vibration too. :up:

How & where did you apply the paste?

If you are running the stock kerker exhaust they have been known to chirp. We found that to be the case when we put our customers bike on the dyno and actually listened to the noise at different rpm's. Pulley squeal will do it occasionally.Switch to the teflon coated pulley upgrade helps. help I just got my bike 2004 BD Chopper, have this chirping noise in lower gears which turns to a squealing noise in higher gears, took bike to a friend and he adjusted the belt and now it is not as loud but still there, what could be wrong and how do I fix this?

the coating on the pulley is probably worn off (if it had any to start with). try putting some belt dressing, bee's wax, something of that nature on the edges of the belt and see if that quiets it down. the short of it, you may have to put a new rear pulley on the bike.
