Charity Ride on LI, NY

FREEDOM!!!
PZNIVYCHOPPER sent me a couple of pics from a charity ride that he invited me to go on last month. Thought I'd share. So many bikes riding from the meeting place to the party place (had Lynard Skynerd, 38 Special, etc playing) that the police shut down all lanes of the Long Island Expressway. Great time and thanks for the pics Dave!!!

Cool pics thanks for sharing. How hot was it?:2thumbs:
So hot my skin fell off and grew back twice that day! Really though it was dripping hot but at the meeting place (Huge parking lot in a mall with bands playing) I stayed in the bar at the Dave & Buster's until it was time to ride out to the music festival on the bay. It was mercifully cool at the ocean with the onshore breezes.

Nice pics, how far of a ride?
Well, nothing like you iron butt cross country guys but the total for me for the day was 150 miles. I have to say the trip from Dave's house to the meeting place was pretty much like racing in a pinball machine. Dave and his friends cranked it up 80 to 90 mph through typical Long Island traffic. Hang on and blast it! I only almost got killed once by a (I'm taking a wild guess here) rich bitch in a new mercedes convertible who just moved right into my lane while I was occupying it because she wanted to exit. Thank God the Dog has torque, cracked the throttle and just got in front of her before I was sitting in her passenger seat. In the old days I would have took out her windsheild with a chain or something but now that I'm older and mellower I just turned around and had a constructive chat with her about her character, length of her life span and something relating to her mother. Typical New York rush hour rat race me first and screw everybody else driver mentality. Motorcycling on LI is nothing like Cowboy's rides posts in scenic Utah!!!

OK, rant off! I'm done.

Thank you. We really did. It was pretty cool riding with another Big Dog. First time for me. I usually ride alone. These bikes are in a class of their own!

ok great pics...but i like the story of givin the rich bitch a good ear full...LOL
What kills me is there were about 6 of us in a loose formation in the lane and she just plowed right into the middle of us which happened to be me. ALL 6 bikes were loud as hell at speed and she was in a convertible. Pushed me almost onto the shoulder before I accelerated out in front of her car. Completely did not care. Unfortunately this happens every day on LI which is why I finally stopped riding 50 miles to work and back. Rush hour brings out the worst in the cheese eating rat racing D-Bags!!!! Sorry, ranting again!

Yes it was hot Bruce !!! And yes we ride a little on the faster side. I thought that is what letting the Dog off the leash means .LOL That car was so close to you, I thought you were changing her radio station. Thank god you rode well. she got the message from all of us. Especially me. By the way when we hit 90 I saw the smile on your face. So don't BS, Great day , great ride. For those interested. 2400 BC aka Bruce. Great guy.
