Changing Oil Filter

When changing oil filter, theres two wires that have two socket head screws that enter the engine case you really have to put alot of pressure on. What do these two wires go to? and could I remove those two socket head screws and move those two wires out of the way? My concern is putting to much pressure on those wires and breaking them inside the insulation around the wires.

Any help would be appreciated.
