carb question

Hey Guys,got a question for ya.. today i figured i get the pibull out and fire it up for a bit to get the fluids circulating so when i went to pull the lever for the choke it wouldnt open,pull up etc.finally i really had to put some effort to lift the lever.wow any ideas what could be wrong?

Froze in bore from sitting,or froze at lever fulcrum.

Shouldn't have to use the choke though. I never use it...

ok so lets say that i have to use the choke.what can i use to un freeze whatevers stuck?

Just give it a couple cranks on the throttle, start it up and let the engine heat thaw it out.

Couple drops of PB-Blaster,Freeall,WD-40,3in1oil,marvels mystery oil,Wesson cooking oil...Whatever works.:roll::roll::roll::loony:

well i remotely thought that but putting oil or anything like that into the carb area.

try some carb cleaner, it should evaporate quickly but you should also be able to break the "enrichener" loose before it is gone.

Also check the tension on the screw that holds the lever to the backing plate.

I USE 4 OZ'S OF MARVELS MYSTERY OIL TO 10 GALLONS OF GASOLINE IN EVERYTHING THAT I OWN. LATELY IN MY BIG DOG & JOHN DEERE TRACTOR I'VE BEEN PUTTING IT IN THE OIL ALSO ! RUNS SMOOTH AS SILK !
