I'm really surprised Bigdog is building this. I emailed Matt months ago and suggested that the Bagger might a good bike to put back in production. I based that on my personal observation from the Bigdog guys here in St. Louis. Ten years ago the group would meet somewhere and at that time, out of 15 or more bikes all were either K9s, Mastiff or Ridgebacks and few Pitbulls, there were only 1 or 2 baggers. Now it is just the opposite, everyone is riding a bagger including me.

If you look at the price of a new CVO Roadking it's over 40K, you would think Bigdog could compete with the CVO bikes from Harley, I would guess the market would be bigger for a Bigdog Bagger rather than a trike.

WOW!
Does it come with a trailer hitch? How big of a trailer can it pull?

...was thinking of a 3 bike trailer with: a Big Dog Chopper, Big Bear Chopper, and Harley Bagger on it -- so I have a place to store the luggage and something to ride the twistys when I get there, or here in Cali, so I can still split lanes...

I like it to a degree but I do agree that Bigdog should be looking into the baggers again. I have an 06 Mastiff bought brand new in 06 and love it with all my heart. Then last year in Sept it was stolen and I came across a great buy on the #3 anniversary bagger and bought it. About a month later my 06 was recovered and I spent Nov till April having it rebuilt and a few extras done to it as well as the bagger. Now I wont lie, I love my Mastiff but the bagger gets more riding time. Mainly because I love to listen to music and my girlfriend likes that its not as loud as the Mastiff. But a trike without a fairing. radio or bags? It looks cool but isn't economical for what I would use a trike for. Maybe if the price is right and they sell alot of them they will bring the bagger back next, or atleast the parts back like the saddlebags, fairings, original sissybar system...lol. Anyway just my 2 cents. P.S. how much is the trike, I'm guessing around $35,000?

Different management back then, different engineers, different riders. The baby boom generation was running the show then and wanted more comfort and knew other would too. Now a younger generation is at it and still thinking biker build offs and cool low and sleek, not to mention fast. I'm 40 years old and like I've said I love my Mastiff and when I get the ride height back right after putting a 23 inch front wheel on I'll ride it more, probably by myself because the girlfriend doesn't like it as much but it will get rode to work and bar hopping, but for mountains and and other longer trips the bagger will be taken.
