Buff and Polish Project Part II

Thought I might share some more photo's as I progress through my Buffing and Polishing project. I have almost all of the polishables off. I am going to do the engine while it is still mounted on the frame, but everything else is off or will be soon. I plan on leaving just the jugs and heads on the engine. The carb\manifold\rocker boxes\pushrod tubes\tappet blocks etc. are already off.
The Aluminum is pretty corroded so I have to machine buff them to bring them back to their previous luster. I may take the motor out if I can not get it done to my satisfaction on the frame. Thanks Again for the inspiration!

First 2 photo's show how pitted the belt cover was behind the pipes. Yes I left some of the gasket on so that you could see that this was the same cover throughout the process. That and the fact that I was too lazy to scrape it off. :)

The Last 3 photo's are after buffing and polishing:

or the....cough....polisher!
Chopper Dave hits that one deep...back,back,back, it's outta here! Fatdog grooved that one right over plate and Chopper Dave got all of it!

I just may start doing it again! Just as soon as I get mine done. :)

Probably would not be a bad idea to have a few of the more prominent members here send me some small stuff. I could buff and polish some stuff for them and they could let everyone know about the quality and service.
I do not know how that works here though, I would not want anyone to get offended and ride all the way down to Dallas to kick me in the nuts for not offering the idea to them.

I guess I need to get with the mods and owners and see how all that works here. Anyway, it's an idea for sure. Thanks!
