Hey Guys,

So back when everyone was talking about the Lightning Start batts for our bikes, I went ahead and got one cause mine was due.. Unfortunately, i didnt leave it on a tender while we were renovating the house because I had to leave it up at boat storage, so the battery went dead, and obviously, you know the rest.. because I ordered it on Amazon, I filed a claim, and they sent me a new one, but that didnt help for the immediate need, so I went and bought one locally so I could ride..

Needless to say, I have a Brand New Power Source Lightning Start battery, its still in the original packaging from the dealer, I havent even cracked the box it was shipped in..

$65 Shipped assuming you're in the US...

I also have PayPal - headshothills@yahoo.com

I put one in my RoadStar about 8 months ago and it's doing fine. There is a post on here that they short out and take out the EHC but what doesn't take the EHC out?

Here is the other post, still looking for the other one where they were talking about it.
I installed two in March, one on an 08 or 09 Mastiff, the other on an 04 pit-bull, both shorted out within a couple weeks of each other, and both took the EHC with it. Several other guys on here had the same problem.

The best I can tell, the batteries short and cause the voltage regulators to allegations w overcharge for long periods of time which in turn burns out the EHC, and often the VR. This is why you should never skimp on your battery. It's the heart of your electrical system.

It's because of the vibration from the bike that shakes the inside of the batteries apart. The cheaper the battery, the faster it goes.
That's why some of us have got up to 6 years out of the Harley batteries, their designed to shake.

I had it in my 08 K9 for 6 months.. No issues, until I let it die, no chargey chargy any more, by the time I got it on a charger it was at 3%..

As far as returning, they dont/wont return cause its a battery, says right there in the small print, trust me, I tried... They wont even let you send it back to them due to liability sending a "BAD" battery via main, even thought the battery is stamped "Non Hazardous"

Needless to say, I have a brand new one... its a battery, what else can I say...

Both the guys I installed the batteries for, got their money back. Their now tying to get the company to pay for their EHC's, no results so far.
