T Mack, my rear ones were completely gone at 12,280. Although I depend 90% on my rear brake alone. My front ones are almost like new at 12,280. Whatever you do, do yourself a favor and get the LBR pads. As I'm sure you know by now. Not that the SBS pads don't work great because they do, there only downfall is the brake dust being carbon Tech composition I suppose.

As GasMan indicate, varies my mileage, type of riding and use. Obviously if you do many long sretches of road, such as some of the Raywood type, less braking and longer mileage. If you ride allot of twisties where you may feather the rear more, it will go quicker. If you do the normal proper braking and brake evenly with front and rear they should wear pretty close to same.

Main thing is to keep an eye on them during the routine maintenace checks and not to be hesitant to change them out if the wear is getting thin. Cheap and quick insurance regardless of what type you put on. Also keep an eye on the disc wear (good reasons to go out and buy a micrometer if you do not have one) and floating pins.

I went ahead and ordered a set of 678 HCT from J&P Cycles for the Performance Machine Calipers.
Replacement Brake pads for Performance Machine calipers J&P Cycles®
These are 4 piston 137X4B I guess. Getting ready to go on vacation and need to have it ready to drop off this week. Everything is closed on Mondays around here and no guarantee the local place would not have to order it anyway so I did a next day drop.
I am going to take the old ones by Harley and see if anything will match up.
I will order some LBR's when time permits.

Gas, who is Vickie? I am replacing my rear brake pads and hopefully not the rotors. I just purchased this bike and the previous owner neglected their dog.
My Speedometer shits the bed now I already need to replace the brake pads what's next.
Thanks again
Paul

Havw to agree with Blue Dog @ 12k. I was wiping the bike down a few weeks ago and noticed that my anti ratlle spring had somehow double backed and was twisted. I ordered a new one $3.50ea. and my pads were half way worn down on the rear with 6k. went ahead and put a new set on just in case, sure made a big difference, you forget how nice the brakes worked when it was new. I paid about $25.00 for the pads. I don't know if any of you guys noticed about these pads, but they smell like dead fish. When I bought them I put them behind my seat in the truck and I kept noticing a bad odor. It was driving me nuts, I thought one of the guys was playing a joke on me and put a raw shrimp under my seat. I'm telling you guys like rotten ass fish. FYI

Milage WILL vary

"Milage may vary."

My '04 Mastiff has 10,800 miles now, and I'm getting ready to install my second set of rear pads and my first set of front pads.!!! First set of rear pads went metal to metal around 5000 miles.!!! I am now a 75/25% front brake user.!!!

I know what you mean, I have had them fall out before because the pin clip backed out, pin backed out, and then the pads fell out. When I needed them they were not there, I almost had to do the Fred Flintstone thing to stop. Scary shit
