Before or after rebuilding the master cylinder?

How did you clean the pistons and bore? Just curious...

I soaked them for 20-30 minutes in some super hot water and dish soap. Then scrubbed them clean with a green scotch brite scouring pad. It all came off pretty easily. Also had to hit a few spots with a stainless steel brillo pad.

All done & back on the road. Thanks for all the ideas. Saved alot of $ doing this myself.
