Is anyone using a disc lock with alarm and if you are what brand and model .
I was looking at the Xena XX15 with Bluetooth. But I believe the cross pin that goes through the Disc is too big.
Was just curious might wind up just going with a wired in satellite type that I can control from my IPhone.

I have 2 Xena Disc locks I used to use and would if I parked somewhere risky. One for the Big Dog and one for the others but it’s old (I.e. no blue tooth, gps etc).

I got tired of Motel staff awakening me to turn off spontaneous Zena alarms at 3:00 a.m. I just took out the batteries. After that, they are a damn fine lock. (And yes, I had cleaned the little reflectors.....)
And the locks do have different pin sizes—I have one I’d sell cheap because it fit a HD but not the Dogs—the pin is too big to fit through the disc brake hole. I really think using two cheapie locks I’d just about as good. Even those would be difficult to remove with out making a racket.

I've got a Xena -- haven't had any spontaneous alarms that I know of yet. Not bluetooth -- Bluetooth is only good for 33ft normally so not sure what benefit it would have.

I also have one but mine has "Indian" stamped on it. Had it on at OBW and during the parade it kept going off with all the vibrations from the Harleys driving by.

I still own and use the smaller XENA disc lock of about 10 years now (no GPS, no remote), mainly because it was small and fit into my pocket better than the big one. I replaced the battery but let it wear out silent now; I like it more as a visual deterrent with long bright ribbon wrapped around the forks. Yes I would buy it again!

In the beginning I could not unlock the lock fast enough and the alarm was always going off and loved getting the attention and "Dude, nice Alarm!" :oldeek:

After three unsuccessful attempts by others to steal my bike ; one while valet parked, on a trailer, chained to a structural support pole in a parking garage with video cameras -- nobody saw anything! and video was not working (maybe same video company as Epstein's jail cell in...) Other cable chain locks on at the same time cut and blown apart with Freon... Arrived to see headlight still on, wires cut and jumped -- but they did not know the sequence to start it...

Bought the XENA after that incident, but think it doesn't matter; more for insurance to say it was locked and alarmed...

If "they" want your bike its gone! :chopper:

I was mostly after the alarm to Let me know when someone is messing with it . That’s why I’m just going to go with the hardwired in type then I get real-time notification if someone messes with it no matter how far away I am from the bike.

Just got the new Xena with Bluetooth—It doesn’t notify you or do anything that elegant. All the Bluetooth allows is for you to program alarm volume and sensitivity level. It does not alert you by Bluetooth.
I think mine is the XX10 with Bluetooth. Xena also has that lock for less $$ without the alarm. Mine has a 10 mm pin that will fit through the small holes on my K9 disc, but has a deep enough throat to reach the little half moon between the buttons. Any lock with a 6mm pin will fit thru the little vent holes in the disc. Xena makes them, and the Kryptonite are good locks too.
It’s probably best to use two, as one on each wheel prevents lifting one end and wheeling it away....
