Thinking about adopting this boxer, anyone care to give an opinion. I haven't had a chance to talk with the owner yet...Thanks

First of all - only you know whats right for you. But, I think I'd stay away (even if I liked that particular BMD model). Here's my $0.02 -

1- Its a hurricane salvage bike...

2 - Its $6500 while trade in value on a GOOD CONDITION one is $8000. And this one is fair condition at best as it needs a paintjob, and other "cosmetic things".

3 - You've no idea what the motor is like... unless you have it checked out.

3- If you make it new again with paint, "cosmetics", and potentially other upgrades you'd want, you'll end up spending 10 or 12K total for a bike that is worth no more than 8K.

My advise (if it matters) is to look for an 02 Boxer in great shape and pay market value for it (about 10K).
