i have a 06 k-9, i took off the rear rocker box cover off to have rechrome, three weeks later. i cant remember where the shorter bolt goes. three are the same length and one is shorter. does the short one go on to the front or rear and right or left side. i believe it goes on the left rear, the one under the frame. a shorter hex wrench is needed for this one under the frame. does anyone know where the short bold goes? thanks

in your instructions raywood, it shows all the head bolts the same length. 1/4 x 7/8 82deg head chrome bolts, they also show a rubber o ring around each one. mcgroom, did u see any o rings when u took your cover off? maybe they stayed down in the head..... thanks

If I remember right they are not all the same length. From inside the cover you can see which bolts sit down deeper in the cover and which ones sit higher on bosses within the cover. In my "Top-end" thread in the "How To" section you see all the bolts sticking out the bottom of the lower cover. They need to be all the same length from there.

You'll find about anything you need on this site!

They do all have o-rings. You will get them if you order the gasket kit for the TP covers.

I found one of the smaller allen bolts backed out in my box from the factory. Luckily it shimmed under a spring out of the way with little damage. Close one. loctite aiyght!
