So when using the sand sponge your just buffing with it first...then aplying the polish.....always afraid to try sandpaper

Pm sent Halen, oxidation worse than mine will almost certainly need some sandpaper to get rid of it. Start with the finest grade and see if it does the job, like the 3000 grit I found. If that's still not getting it all, maybe get some 2000. Then when it's cleaned up use 3000, then polish. Good luck!
