Biltwell Helmets?

Just curious if anyone has tried a Biltwell Helmet. I don't mean to start a DOT thing. F*** DOT and F*** lwamakers. I got a big head (7 3/4) and law says I have to wear a helmet. If it didn't, I wouldn't. They look like they're the least stupid looking of all and I never turn down help. Thanks

I like them - I have a 1970 Bell which looks like that but without the thick padding so it looks a little smaller and tighter to the head

The Bell RT is an open face old style with less side padding and is DOT approved. I have one and I like it as well.

Here is a shot Ray got of me in Daytona. He asked me do you wear a helmet all the time? Yes I do, it’s a deal I made with my wife when I got back into riding years ago. Pussy what ever, it’s my choice. I had a guy ask me at my local Pub a few weeks ago “what are you scared of dying?” He was fucking drunk off his ass!!!! I was more scared that he was on the road!! Yes he is what I am scared of!! Dumb drunk fuckers!!! It’s an HRC but I had to relocate the straps, they where set wrongs it was cutting my throat.

I run with one similar to the biltwell, maybe some of of you guys remember the old "bucco" helmets. Place in Ohio refurbishes these old buco helmets and have a old school pinstriper do his magic on them. You can buy them here.

Anybody that calls you a pussy for wearing a helmet is an idiot. As much a I hate them and probably wouldn't wear one unless the law made me, it may have saved my ass in my wreck back in 04.

Exactly... its a personal choice. That would be like them telling you're an idiot for not smoking. Personal choice to live longer.
