My stock gas cap is getting almost impossible to get out, I think it is swolen and the threads are really tight, I saw the billet gas caps that Low Down Chop Shop was selling and would like to get one but I don't think he has them anymore, does anyone have or know where to get one of those caps? any help would be great, thanks.

My stock cap did the same thing. I sanded the threads down. Worked pretty good. You can also try some grease on the threads. Like WD40.

Its the eathanol in the gas, try to use eathanol free gas if you can. If you take the cap out for a few days and let the air get to it, it will shrink back to normal. I actually have two gas caps and I will let one air out and use the other. Hoping Jake will have some more on hand soon. The other option is to screw out the paint saver (very risky) and you will have limitless options then but you could screw up the paint.

My local parts guy stocks the plastic thread part for the cap only. I just go swap it out every few years. I think he gets them from Landmark?

I'm not having a problem with the threads on the stock cap, but on my last fill, the damn thing slipped out of my hand and of course landed shiny side down on the concrete. Nice big scratches on it now. :bang:

So now I'm looking for a replacement as well. What other options have you guys been happy with?
