bike start-up

went to show-off the new exhaust to someone today, turned the ignition key and the horn went off, the hazards started to flash and the bike started to turn over.
I did not hit run, start or engage anything but the ignition key. this was simply because of turning the ignition key.
this ever happen to anyone?
i checked everything over a couple of times and was able to start the bike up using the normal sequence, rode the bike and had no issues.
could this be the start of a major problem or am i missing something?

Yes...bike died on me while doing 70 down the highway...pulled to the side and heard my starter turning...turned off the key, came to a complete stop...turned key back to on, and w/out pressing start, the starter engaged...I also had a :angry: WTF :angry: moment...trailored the scoot home, ordered the Wires Plus kit, had it installed, and when I checked the old harness, there was a broken ground wire...not sure if that was the culprit or if it was the EHC...i've read on this forum that the 03 EHC was one of the more reliable versions, but i went ahead and replaced it anyway...obviously, i'm no expert as compared to some (most) of these other folks; just my $0.02...hope it works out for you
