With a timing light on either plug, tape the trigger down, tap it to the handlebars, take it for a ride. Beam is aimed at you so you can see when it cuts out or it keeps sparking as you coast to a stop with the clutch lever out.
So as it acts like a truck air brake and keeps sparking = Gas related.
