Bike not running right

Got my 2006 k9 running I have some short pipes on it don't know what kind they where on the bike when i got it when I am riding the bike it sputters sometimes back fires and pops but when you get on it then it goes wondering if I need to put new or other jets in carb or anyone have any help thanks.:chopper:

If you are referring to decel pop it could be that your intake or you exhaust seals need to be changed. If it is just overall running like crap, sounds like to me you need adjust your carb or re-jet it. Do a search on the forum for carb adjustment / re-jet and you will get all kinds of posts to help you. You can also look it up on the S&S site.

I will look it up I thank I mite need to put new jets won't to adjust my push rods to thanks

Go onto S&S website, they have a great step by step to adjust your carb, If Franco was here he would pop them on here in a heart beat and then tell you klean n tight:oldlaugh:

Will look it up do you thank o need other jets because of the pipes thanks also bikes been starting fine

It depends on what jets are in there now and the S&S website will give you a picture of which jets are which if your not familiar with them. When the dealer installed my vance & hines big radius he did rejet it, I believe they were intermediate 31 and 76 main. When I put the dual runner on I bumped to 32 and 78.
But I would try the adjustment procedure first:old2:

Ok I will go to the S&S site and adjust my carb first I'm shore it still has the original jets I know how put the pipes on and I know he did not change out the jets after adjusting carb if it still dose it then I will look in to getting new jets. Thanks

Anytime you change or install new pipes you will need to re-adjust or re-jet your carb. Use the instructions on how to adjust your carb first before trying to re-jet.
