I like how he shows you "Look at what you can see on this display, speed, volts, RPM.." All those items are available to him right on those gauges....why do you need that extra dongle for $400? I will say if you had a Fuel Injected Harley with the CanBus system you can use these to download different Maps, however I suspect that would void any warranty.

They got this stuff for cars plugs into your OBDII and ports to your phone pretty cheap for cars like $20.

What's the chance software would corrupt while you are on the road (ans: little or none)....more likely for you to need a temperature sensor that failed. If it would help diagnose that, it's worth looking into.
And as Kevin notes, what's that got to do with an EHC?

If you get the obd2 it will link with a Garmin virb and you get a host of information to include throttle and braking percentages . Rpm and speed and a GPS on screen track of your route . it will give you a readout of anything your car feed it's on board computer.

Kinda what's already available on the screen in my BMW 750i.....
