Bike alarm

Hey Gas,
I saw in a thread a few months ago, you have a Scorpio alarm. Still got it? Would you buy the same again? It looks like we have limited room for extra electrics....
Was also thinking about Lo-Jack, except for the room thing.

I have lo-jack on mine, dealer installed it and was part of the sale price. The only thing I found is mine is very sensitive. I walked out to crank my bike, on flat concrete, and it rolls back just a little bit with the throttle held open. All due to vibration of the bike and how they have it set up I was told. I went back inside (less than 25' from the bike) and the 1' or so it had move set it off. My cell phone went nuts with text messages, emails, and phones calls. All I had to do was tell them what happened, but just keep that in mind if you walk back inside for something if you decide to get it.

Thanks for the info, TLB08K9. Feel safe I bet, tho. Headed out for a 2 week trip through CA in Sept, and back up for Street Vibes. Would feel better about the bike being parked at the hotels...

I will buy the 1st round
scorpio I 900

I got the Scorpio I 900 and used the instructions that Gas sent with the great Photos and how to info. I like this one cause you dont have to think it arms when you walk away and disarms when you walk up to it, has a premiter sensor, Starter cutout, 1/2 mile range the fob alarms and vibrates. I would buy it again.. also you can set it manualy if you want to and turn it off if in a very conjested area. Hope this helps. mike:cheers:

Oh yeah.. the scorpio rocks. When installed correctly it works great and does its job very well. I think the pager thing is one of its best features.

As far as room... you can easily just loose the horn and it fits right in... no problems.

Thanks Chili & Gas. Besides losing the horn, are there any other ideas?
No matter what, I guess it'll be a Scorpio.

As you said... its all about space. gooddoggie removed the shitty bdm horn and mount a bad boy/wolo electric air horn near the rear tire... I relocated mine to under the battery and above the tranny facing down towards the tranny.

...or, you can adjust the sensitivity lower so they can get closer, but not TOO close. :D
