BigBlue anyone hear from him?

Anyone heard anything from BigBlue (Ed) in awhile. Know he had to sell the BD and was going through hard times, but have not been able to contact him or heard anything from him. Just wondering if anyone has had any contact with him in the last few months and if so how he is doing?

Thanks

Last heard from Ed late last year. Tough times for a good man. Appears he was last on the site late last month.

Thanks ChaCha,

He is a good man and did have some bad time. Still wish he would come on when he can, regardless if he has a BD or not. Would love to get up with him and say hello and share a drink.

If I hear anything will let you know.

Best to you and the misses.

Finding Ed.

I,ve been reading these forums for some time and have worked with Ed for 20 years. He got me interested in this place when he bought his Big Dog in Myrtle Beach. That being said, the company that Ed and I both worked for closed. Thank You GM and Chrysler. I left in August 09 and Ed held on until just before Christmas. His Mom has been in and out of the hospital lately and this has caused some financial hardships for him. I havent been able to get in touch with him since late in December. As soon a I can dig my way out of about 3.5 feet of snow I'll drive over to his house and see whats up. I'll keep you all up to date.

Thanks Tom,

Ditto on Chacha comment. If you see Ed, tell him many still give a shit about him and would love to see him and buy him a cold one.

I am just working down the road from him in Aberdeen and would gladly hook up with him if he doesn't mind.

Maybe we all can get together like JT suggest some time in the near future (after the snow melts).

Let us know and once again thanks Tom

News about Ed aka BigBlueDog

Well I went to his house several times and no one was home. Finally today he called me out of the blue. No pun intended. Ed is alive and as well as he can be. The dog is gone. His mom passed away about 3 weeks ago. Get this, His crackpot sister called the cops to tell then Ed murdered his Mom. Long story short, its all been worked out. I guess his sister ain't on his christmas card list anymore. Hes been working with a friend of his and its paying the bills. Its only temporary and he's looking for something permenant in his line of work. He will be back here when things get back to normal for him. I've known Ed for over 20 years and love him like a brother. His life these last several years has not been the best, with taking care of his mom, rough economic times in the auto business and other personal issues. I only ask that those who call Ed a friend will remember him in there thoughts and prayers. He will come out of this OK but I wish for him to catch the break he so much deserves. I passed along to him all the thoughts you expressed in this thread.

Tom,

Once again thank you for the follow up and hopefully Ed will get on her soon and we can get up with him soon. He is well respected by many on here and regardless of BD or no BD, hard times or not, I and many more consider him a good friend and would love to see him and shoot the shit, maybe even put in some networking and see if we can help him out someway or know some that can.

If you talk to him, let him know that I work right down the road from him over in Aberdeen and never to far that I can not meet up with him. Maybe even see if I can point him to some of the contractors or others sources for the BRAC to get some work.

Thanks again and best to you as pass the same to Ed. Oh let him know that my prayers or for him and his mother and condolences in her passing.
