Big Radius mounting bolts - need help

I have a 2007 K9 with Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes. Earlier today I noticed that the bracket that mounts from the frame to the pipes is missing two bolts. Each pipe has 2 bolts that mount into the black bracket towards the rear of the pipes. The top pipe (the one attached to the rear cylinder) has no bolts attached to the black mounting bracket. The bottom pipe has two bolts, but the top has none and vibrates a bit. Could it be that the dealer forgot to install the bolts on the top pipe? Or, is that just normal for the top pipe to not be attached to the bracket? Is it possible that both of those screws vibrated off?

Unless everyone on here tells me that it's no big deal, I'm assuming I need to get replacement bolts to mount the top pipe to the bracket ASAP. If that's the case, could someone tell me what size screw and nut to get? As you may have gathered, I'm FAR from mechanically inclined. So, I need to know exactly what size, etc. of screw, nut, bolt or whatever to tell the guy at Lowe's I need. Can anyone help me on this one?

Thanks in advance for your help. Love the bike, and love this forum!

Hopefully, you didn't F up the rear exhaust gasket...

Uh - just in case you took that too literally, her real number is 1-800-821-9560, extension 105

...and seriously, she'll get ya fixed up right away - either just tell you the specs so you can buy 'em locally, or ship you what you need right away.

Fix it! Like stated by the ones who know - go to the hardware store and get ya' 2 more bolts and install them. You def. don't need big problems for the lack of 2 bolts missing from your pipes to bracket assy.

It's so easy - "a cave man can do it."

Thanks for all the replies. I figured it was not normal to be missing those bolts.

On a sidenote, I would appreciate it if members of this forum would refrain from posting pictures of me in these threads. I like to have a little bit of privacy, and don't want my mugshot posted all over the internet. I really regret doing those commercials. I was young and needed the money. :)

Here's a pic of the mounting bracket for Big Radius pipes on a K-9. In my case, it is nicely chromed. :D
(Just above the bracket is the passenger foot peg, folded upward.)

Looking down inside the bracket, you can clearly see the four bolts attaching the pipes to the bracket.
I did not remove the bolts to measure them. I suppose I could if you still don't have the specs.

P8RIOT,

What's with those standard bolts??? I'm disapointed..............you took the time to chrome the bracket but what kind of bolts did you mount it with????? You need some chrome bolts for that thing. You can never go wrong with more chrome!!! :2thumbs:

I went to the hardware store...picked a another one.....then when I ordered some things from Vickie......she threw in a couple of chrome bolts and washers.....:2thumbs: glad you got yours fixed....
