Mine didn't break but...
when i put mine on my pitbull the holes in the bracket/pipes would not line up at all. I called tech support and they had me check the number stamped on the bracket. It was the correct number. They told me for $45 they would ship me a new bracket in 3-5 days. I told them to shove it. I slotted the holes in the bracket and made it work. Fuck V&H
