Are you should its the speedo and not the pickup sensor on the tranny. It could be just the wiring causing it to fail. Do a search on here and find out what others have done to get their back to working, just saying
You could buy a digital one from whoever sells them, you can program the miles with whatever you bike has on it now. I got mine from Dakota Digital and that is what I did. If you prefer to keep the Stock one, you might be able to get a new one from Derek and Donna "BIGDOGPARTKING" (620-257-2009) I am sure someone on here knows how to add miles on it. When mine was replaced by BDM (twice) they always put the number miles on the new one as the old one had so there has to be a way to do it.
